INSPIRATION
Traveling in Indonesia many years ago I experienced the exhilarating sensation of being on a power boat between islands and being accompanied by a school of flying fish. The elegant movement of that leaping, silvery school, the rushing sounds, the aliveness of the moment stayed with me and inspired this painting.
